I have spent seven years doing cancer research in the biomedical field, and I feel that my strong background in the sciences and research gives me the skills I need to teach students successfully. I'm currently attending Abilene Christian University to earn my bachelor's degree in biology. I'm also earning a chemistry minor. I come from a family that prioritized education. My mother taught science, and I feel a lot of her teaching skills have rubbed off on me considering my ability to explain complex ideas to students in ways that are more understandable. I'm also a strong writer, earning perfect scores on the writing sections of the GRE and SAT. I would be happy to assist students in improving their reading and writing skills. I'm comfortable working with students of all ages, and I've had opportunities to work with students from first grade through college. My ultimate goal is the success of my students. In my free time, I like to exercise, read, and practice public speaking whenever possible.
