I'm Michele! I graduated magna cum laude from William and Mary with a Bachelor's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics & Statistics, and a minor in Chemistry. I currently work as a data analyst at a not-for-profit think-tank. I am also pursuing a Master's degree in Statistical Science at George Mason University.
Experience
I find tutoring to be extremely rewarding, and I truly enjoy helping students make sense of material that seems overwhelming and hard to understand. Each student learns differently, and I am trained to tailor my teaching to those different styles. I have always done extremely well in all of my classes, but my favorite subject has always been math, and that is why I decided to major in it in college. I tutored high school math (Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Precalculus) during my junior and senior years of high school. During college, I also tutored fellow undergraduate students in a variety of subjects including: calculus, statistics, biostatistics, computer science, chemistry, biology, and psychology. During this time, I also obtained a College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) Teaching Certification for receiving 10 hours of tutor training and tutoring for more than 25 hours.
